KASING LUNG
Born in Hong Kong and based in Belgium, Kasing Lung entered the world of designer toys in 2011 through collaborations with How2work. In 2015, Kasing created “The Monsters”, first, an illustrated story, and later, a series of vinyl toys centered around the iconic character Labubu. Kasing’s work is inspired by his multicultural background, combining East Asian pop culture sensibilities and Nordic folklore
KENNY WONG
Kenny Wong is a Hong Kong-based artist, founder of KENNYSWORK, and creator of MOLLY – one of the most sought-after designer toy characters globally. Kenny created the character in 2006, inspired by a chance encounter with a determined young kid at a charity fundraiser event. MOLLY is a blue-eyed girl with short hair and an iconic pouting expression that never leaves her face.
LIBBY FRAME
Libby Frame is an artist from Los Angeles. In college, she majored in Illustration Design and minored in Film Studies. After graduation, she became a freelance artist. Character design and conceptual art are her main areas of interest. She also enjoys incorporating a sense of storytelling into her artwork. When Libby is not painting, she may be hiking, shopping at a thriftstore, or attending a concert or family party.
XIONGMIAO
Xiongmiao is an artist, CG designer and scenographer from Mainland China. She’s the founder of art studio Beizhai, designer toy studio Lazy North and the creator of Skullpanda, a charismatic character that has taken the world of designer toys by storm in recent years. Skullpanda toys are characterized by their gender fluid appearance, blasé facial expression and focus on personality.
PUCKY
Pucky is a Hong Kong-based artist and creator of the homonimous designer toy brand. Her name was inspired by Puck, the sprite from Shakespeare’s play “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, a character based on creatures found in ancient English mythology. Pucky’s work represents the convergence of fantasy and reality and focuses on exploration of nature and spirituality.
AYAN DENG
Ayan is an artist from Mainland China specializing in illustration and toy design, most widely known as the creator of DIMOO WORLD toy series. Founder of YANSTUDIO, Ayan is also one of the earliest artists signed by POP MART. Her work is full of internal mythology and centers around Dimoo, a little boy confronting his real-life fears and uncertainties in the dream world.
LANG
Lang is a Beijing-based artist working in various media spanning painting, sculpture, toys and animation. His work centers around the changeable nature of the concept of “Self”. Through his character, HIRONO, Lang aims to highlight the subtle changes in life, its ups and downs, and attempts to freeze in time the elusive feelings that reveal our true character – love, joy, sadness, fear and more.
TWO CLOUDS
Two Clouds, is a designer from the POP MART Design Center, and creator of AZURA. By her own account, she likes all things soft and gentle, which is a feature prominent in all her work.
OHKUBO HIROTO
Ohkubo, influential Japanese graphic designer and illustrator, established INSTINCTOY in 2005 as an independent designer toy brand. In 2008, in addition to designing, INSTINCTOY also ventured into manufacturing its own toys, which allowed the brand to realize ambitious unique ideas and support countless collaborations with prominent and up-and-coming toy designers.
